Terms of service

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms. You're responsible for your account, and for keeping your email secure, since that's how you sign in.

Leagues and commissioners

The person who creates a league is its commissioner. The commissioner chooses the league's settings, changes them as the app allows, and decides who joins. We aren't responsible for disagreements between members, but we'll help where we can.

Buy-ins and prize money

Some leagues play for money. Any buy-in or prize is arranged between the members and their commissioner. We don't collect, hold or pay out buy-ins or prize money, and we aren't a party to those arrangements. You're responsible for following the laws where you live.

Premium

Premium is a one-time purchase that upgrades one league for one season. The commissioner pays through Stripe. If you ask before the league's draft starts, we'll refund it in full; once the draft has started, Premium isn't refundable. To ask for a refund, email support@playoffbestball.com.

Stats and scoring

Points come from third-party stats sources. When a stat is corrected, scores update to match, even after a round ends. Ties are settled by the rule published on the site.

We work to keep scoring accurate, but we can't promise the data will be free of errors or delays. Playoff Best Ball isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the NFL or any team.

Text messages

If you add your phone number and choose "Text me when I'm on the clock", we'll text you when it's your turn to pick in a draft. That's the only thing we text about. How many texts you get depends on your drafts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop the texts, or HELP for help, or email support@playoffbestball.com. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Using the site fairly

• Don't use team or league names that are hateful, harassing, or pretend to be someone else.
• Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
• Don't scrape the site or use it to send spam.
• Don't use someone else's account.

Ending your use

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close an account for any other reason during a season, we'll refund Premium bought for that season.

Disclaimers

The service is provided as is. We don't promise it will always be available or error-free, including during live games.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from buy-ins or prizes between members. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located there.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll email account holders before they take effect.
